About Turbo Solutions

The heavy-duty turbo specialists

We do one thing: turbochargers, and the actuators and EGR valves that go with them. That focus is why dealers trust our units on their customers' trucks.

Remanufactured heavy-duty turbocharger

Focused on one product family

Turbo Solutions is a wholesale remanufacturer of turbochargers for heavy-duty and medium-duty trucks, buses, off-highway equipment and marine engines. We're headquartered in Pennsauken, New Jersey, and ship from five locations across the country.

Some suppliers sell thousands of different parts. We chose to go deep on one. Our engineers, technicians and turbo desk spend every day on turbochargers, so they know how each one is built, how it fails and how to get it back on the road.

We sell only through dealers and distributors. We never sell around our partners to their customers.

Holset variable-geometry turbocharger

Complex electronics

Built for the turbos that are hard to get right

Older fixed-geometry turbos are simple. Anyone can import one and put it in a box. Modern variable-geometry (VGT) turbos have electronic actuators, software and a direct connection to the engine's aftertreatment system.

Our engineering team understands how these turbos work, how they fail and how to troubleshoot them at the truck. We calibrate every electronic actuator before it ships, using the Cummins E-Tool, and we stand behind it with real technical support.

How we remanufacture

Every unit, every time

Each turbo is remanufactured by hand in Pennsauken and tested before it leaves the building. Every unit ships with a serialized ID tag.

  1. Tear down and clean

The turbo is fully taken apart and every part is cleaned with our own cleaning equipment.

  2. Inspect and measure

We take precision measurements at every critical point. Parts that don't meet spec are rejected, not reused.

  3. Rebuild

New journal bearings, thrust bearings and seals, plus any worn or out-of-spec component.

  4. Balance, calibrate and test

High-speed balancing. Pneumatic actuators are leak-tested and electronic actuators are calibrated and ready to install.
